for the Spirits
Food
for the Spirits is
a two part documentary that will explore the changing
relationships among health, biodiversity and spirituality
as experienced by the tribal people inhabiting the
tropical rainforests of the Gogol River Valley in
Madang Province, Papua New Guinea.
9/26/05
- Global Mission Event
Several Kristus members –
Katherine Harms, Larry Harms and Bruce Grant –
conducted two workshops on Saturday August 27 at the
annual Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Global
Mission Event which was held at the Convention Center
in Baltimore’s inner harbor.

- Association of Asians and Pacific Islanders - ELCA
2007 Bangkok Conference
One of our members,
Rev. Gigie Sijera-Grant, has been selected as the
keynote speaker of the ELCA for the upcoming Association
of Asians and Pacific Islanders Conference in 2007
which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand.

- Plans Underway For Kristus CAMBODIA
The Kristus Center is
currently discussing the possibility of another health-related
project in a rural and remote area of Cambodia. We hope
to partner with HealthNet
Ratanakiri.

- Global Mission Event
The Kristus Center will be presenting a workshop on
August 27 at the ELCA Global Mission Event which is
being held in Baltimore’s inner harbor.

- Kristus PNG Distance Learning
Kristus Center is actively
working to expand and fully develop our resource center
in Papua New Guinea.
6/4/05 - Jungle River Documentary
The PNG National Film Institute
has recently granted the Kristus Center permission to
film the Jungle River documentary
in Madang Province, PNG.
