Through Community Capacity and Enhancement (CCE) Tools Renasce Esperança has started a gender new approach.

Renasce Esperança, dealing with orphans and vulnerable children and HIV AIDS pandemic, has started a gender new approach creating a gender committee constituted by girls and divorced woman.

The purpose of the committee in Renasce Esperança, is to get way of educate girls and divorced woman how to prevent themselves from HIV new infections, using their owner language and environment.

The objectives are:

1. To empower girls with full knowledge on self estimation in order to valorize their bodies as a God’s creature.

2. To empower girls in decision making due to the problems that they face in the society.

3. To equip girls with tools that makes them able to prevent and safe from STD and HIV/ AIDS.

Using the CCE mechanism tools, Renasce Esperança met with a group of those girls; during the meeting the participants pointed as causes of having risk sex the following: Poverty, material ambitious, imitation and ignorance.

The girls came up with proposal to the possible solution to their problems as; getting activities of income generation and more education on sex and gender issues in order to build capacity among girls so that they can know how to make their body more valuable. There is a need of building spirit of self estimation among girls, as the God’s creature.
