Chris
deForest
Board Member
Chris deForest has
been writing and producing corporate events
and video in the U.S. for almost two decades.
He started as a training and marketing writer
with that iconic American direct selling company,
Tupperware, before moving on to freelance
work. Over 10 years he also served as Director
of Communications for PartyLite, another large
U.S. direct selling firm. In 2003, Chris and
his family discerned a call to Lutheran ministry
(ELCA). He and his wife Allison are both students
at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque,
Iowa, graduating in May 2008. They have two
daughters, Mallory and Dorrie, and look forward
to serving Christ and all creation as ministers
and as a family. |

Andrew
James Garrahan
Andrew
is a fourth year Visual Arts student
at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
He is currently interning as our multi-media
and design volunteer consultant. Andrew is
passionate about bringing a rich internet
experience to computer users through the design
and construction of highly interactive multimedia
applications. Andrew hopes to gain a
broader understanding of informational
structures in order to better incorporate
visually appealing designs into highly functional
parts of integrated systems. |

Rex
Sos Rex
is from Madang Province, Papua New Guinea
and is currently a third year student in Information
Systems and Management at Divine Word University.
Most of his interests are in technical work
and creative arts, including networking, web
page design, desktop publishing, graphics,
sound recording and editing, filming &
photography. He joined Kristus PNG because
of his great interest to serve and work toward
building a just, humane and sustainable global
society in light of Spirit-filled values.
His motto in life is “Live to serve”
and Rex believes that every new dawn in life
and every breath taken must be done to serve
well. |

Moses
Wakupa Moses
is originally from the Western Highlands
Province, Papua New Guinea. He is a recent
graduate of Divine Word University with
a diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
Currently, he is employed as a casual worker
with the Coral Seas Company (a tourism and
travel group based in PNG). Moses is interested
in public relations, micro-enterprise and
eco-tourism as a means to help alleviate
poverty and ensure a better way of life
for the people of Papua New Guinea. As a
volunteer for Kristus PNG, he hopes to help
village people in Papua New Guinea ensure
economic self-reliance and improve their
prospects for greater community development.
His philosophy in life is “Give what
I can give” through serving others.
